After all is said and done, you are left with a sense of utter perplexity. You question about the meaning of it all. Was this intended to be funny?

Or were we just all part of a grand, cosmic prank?

Awful Day Ever

It all started with a terrible case of morning hair. I couldn't make it to look right. As I was scrambling out the door, I fell and spilled all over myself. To make matters worse, I was completely running behind for work.

A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to scream into a pillow.
